Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published over four dozen titles combined, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
